WESTCHASE - WESTCHASE - Broken beer bottles, public urination, speeding cars, vulgar language and early morning fireworks.
These were just some of the complaints angry residents brought to Thursday's meeting of the Westchase Community Association.
Several residents of the Woodbay neighborhood spoke against a home on Seabrook Drive, claiming the residence's occupants and visitors have become a nuisance and are disturbing the peace of the upscale deed-restricted community in northwest Hillsborough County.
The address of the residence was not disclosed during the meeting.
"We are tired," said Nancy Bartlett. "We are frustrated. We have lost our patience."
More than nine months ago, neighbors asked the WCA for help with the troublesome home. A petition with 11 signatures was presented to the board in June. The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office was also contacted for assistance.
"It is your duty to take action," Bartlett said.
Ruben Collazo, WCA president, said the board is pursuing deed restriction violations against the residence, but he wasn't permitted to give further details.
"I wish I could say more," he said.
Patty Stewart, Westchase's property manager, said she understands the situation is frustrating, but assured those present that it hasn't been treated lightly.
