TOWN 'N COUNTRY An attacker left a 33-year-old Tampa man with life-threatening injuries, sheriff's reports state.
The incident occurred about 4 a.m. Sept. 21 as the man was walking behind a Shell gas station, 6901 W. Hillsborough Ave.
An attacker grabbed the man from behind and began to feel his pockets, reports state. The man attempted to push away, but the attacker slashed the left side of the man's neck and face with a sharp object, reports state.
The man walked home, where a relative took him to Town 'N Country Hospital. The victim was then was transported to St. Joseph's Hospital with life threatening injuries, reports state.
Over the weekend, he was released from St. Joseph's Hospital, according to a hospital spokesman.
Reports only provide a vague description of the attacker: a white man wearing jeans.
