The American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Town 'N Country 2009 is hosting a Holiday Reunion from 6 to 8 p.m. Dec. 9 at the Timberlane Park Recreation Center, 10210 Westgate Drive.
Participants can stop by to pick up team captain packets, posters and brochures or to pay registration fee and enjoy hors d'oeuvres.
The Relay For Life Holiday Reunion is for friends, families, caregivers, cancer survivors, schools, companies, etc., to come together and kick off the Relay For Life season.
The American Cancer Society Relay For Life is an overnight community celebration where individuals and teams camp out, barbecue, dance, and take turns walking around a track relay style to raise funds to fight cancer.
At nightfall, participants will light hundreds of luminaria around the track during a ceremony to honor cancer survivors, as well as friends and family members lost to the disease.
The 2009 event is scheduled from 6 p.m. to 10 a.m. April 17-18 at Incarnation Catholic School, 5111 Webb Road.
