WESTCHASE - The Upper Tampa Bay Regional Library will host an exhibit, "Expressions of Westchase," that opens in March.
The exhibit, featuring sculpture, painting and photography by about 10 members of the Westchase Artists Society, runs March 3-April 25.
An opening reception at 6 p.m. March 6 is free and open to the public.
The show will focus on interpretations of Westchase and its neighborhoods.
"It's all about Westchase and the artists' interpretation of it," said Vanessa Montenegro, one of the group's founding members.
The Westchase Artists Society members live in or near Westchase. The group, formed in 2006 by Montenegro and a neighbor, artist Leah Mondino, meets regularly at the Westchase Swim and Tennis Center at 7 p.m. the second Thursday of the month.
The meetings aim to provide art education, promote activities and create opportunities for area artists to come together and share their work. Membership is open to all skill levels, from beginner to expert and amateur to professional. The group sometimes invites guest speakers to the meetings.
Montenegro said the group hopes to host four exhibits this year, each in a different location.
