Published: November 5, 2008

CARROLLWOOD - Instead of driving all over Carrollwood, patrons can sample what nearby businesses have to offer under one roof.

The Carrollwood Area Business Association is hosting one of its largest events of the year, the CABA Fall Business Expo. The event features more than 75 businesses from the area. Vendors offer free samples, give demonstrations and hand out information.

"It really is great because there are a lot of fun games and giveaways at the event," said Linda Quinn, CABA board liaison for the expo.

She noted that restaurants will give out food samples and a bank will have a money booth where guests can try to grab some cash.

"This is basically a way for people to learn about the neighborhood services and businesses available to them," Quinn said.

The event runs from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Nov. 12 at Hillsborough County Children's Services, 3110 Clay Mangum Lane. Admission and parking are free.

Participating businesses confirmed as of last week: American Building Calculations, FedEx Office, IT Works, National Payment Corp., Sam's Club, Signature Lift w/Image International Institution, Solution Resources Inc., A Jay Burkette & Associates, Bay Cities Bank, Bay Gulf Credit Union, Brighton Gardens of Tampa, Coffee News, Doctor's Walk-In Clinic, Dunndeal Publications, Edward Jones Investments, Environmental Engineering Consultants Inc, First American Title Insurance, Flooring America, Great Clips, Grow Financial, Healthpoint Medical Group, High Tech Pest Control, Hillsborough Education Foundation, J.
