CITRUS PARK Members of American Legion Post152 paid homage to the victims of the terrorist attacks on America seven years ago by gathering along Sheldon Road in front of the post headquarters and waving American flags to passing motorists.
Members of the post and its auxiliary gathered at 7:45 a.m. to wave the flags.
"We agreed to have this ceremony so we don't forget and to help people remember," said Joe LaVoie, commander of the post. "People ask why we are in this war, and this why."
LaVoie added they have hosted this remembrance every year since the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, 2001.
