CARROLLWOOD - Lila Baker decided to chop off her hair once again to donate to Locks of Love.
Recently, the 10-year-old visited The Salon Professional Academy, 4802 Gunn Highway, Suite 144, to have a stylist measure her hair and identify how much she could donate.
This is the third time Lila has donated to the organization, which provides hairpieces for children suffering from permanent hair loss.
With this donation, it brings Lila up to a yard of hair in donations, said her mother, Denise Baker of Land O' Lakes.
Lila said it takes her about two years to get about 12 inches of hair to donate. She was 5 the first time she donated to Locks of Love.
"I plan to donate hair until it stops growing," Lila said. "It's fun to do and it's for a good cause."
