TAMPA - Deputies arrested a man and woman on drug, weapon and other charges after serving a warrant early Saturday morning on a home in north Tampa.
Aaron McCloud, 29, and Nakita Robinson, 20, where arrested when deputies raided their home at 1542 University Woods Place just after midnight Saturday, the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office said.
While searching the home, deputies found Robinson hiding in a bedroom closet holding a short-barrel shotgun, the sheriff's office said.
Investigators were acting on a tip that drug activity was taking place at the house when they got the search warrant.
In addition to the shotgun, deputies recovered just over an ounce of crack cocaine and less than a half-ounce of marijuana, along with counterfeit money, the sheriff's office said.
Both were charged with armed trafficking in cocaine, possession of cocaine and marijuana with intent to deliver, possession of a short-barrel shotgun and possession of counterfeit currency.
Robinson faces the same charges as well as violation of probation on a felony battery charge, the sheriff's office said. She is being held without bond.
McCloud also was charged with possession of a firearm by a felon, and is being held under $84,000 bond.
