TOWN 'N COUNTRY - For the 45th consecutive year, Incarnation Catholic Church brings the carnival to town.
What started as a parish picnic has evolved into a carnival with rides, food and entertainment. The four-day event is from Thursday through Sunday on the grounds of Incarnation Catholic School, 5111 Webb Road.
Paul Hunter, carnival chairman, said attendees can expect the same event and prices from last year.
"We want to make it as good as in the past in face of the times," Hunter said.
The carnival does not charge admission and tickets will be sold at a discounted rate if purchased in advance. Proceeds from the event benefit the church and school.
Hunter said last year the carnival raised about $70,000.
He said the carnival serves two purposes - to host a big party for friends and neighbors and raise money for the church.
"We want to make sure everyone has a positive experience first and if we raise money for the church all the better," Hunter said.
