Groups spruce up, landscape school

TOWN 'N COUNTRY Town and Country Elementary was spruced up during spring break with the help of the Green Thumb Nursery, Town 'N Country Garden Circle and Town 'N Country Youth Council.
Volunteers added rails to a fence, planted landscaping and spread mulch.
The partnership among Green Thumb, the school, teens and garden circle began in spring break 2006 when the teens and garden circle provided landscaping for the parking lot island. During spring break 2007, the teens planted 10 crape myrtles and added ground cover to a parking lot island.
The Youth Council periodically has helped plant other trees and shrubs.
