Hillsborough deputies investigate motorcycle crash

TAMPA - Hillsborough sheriff's deputies are investigating a crash involving a motorcycle and a pickup that occurred just before 1 a.m. near South Village Drive and Dale Mabry Highway.
Deputies say 47-year-old Patti Valero was riding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle west on South Village Drive in the eastbound lane and struck the pickup, which was traveling east on South Village Drive.
The driver of the pickup was not injured. Valero was taken to a hospital in critical condition, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.
