Smashing pumpkins
Watch wild animals enjoy some Halloween fun at their own pumpkin party at 11 a.m. Friday at Lowry Park Zoo, 1101 W. Sligh Ave. See which animals stomp, chomp, kick, play and pounce on special seasonal treats.

'Then There Was One'
Carrollwood Players Theatre by Young People is performing "And Then There Was One" Saturday and Sunday at 4335 Gunn Highway.
The comedic performance is a spin-off of Agatha Christie's murder-mystery "And Then There Were None." Performance times are 3 p.m. Saturday and 7 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $10. Call (813) 265-4000.
Actors at work
Explore the American work day in "Working: The Musical" presented by Carrollwood Players, 4335 Gunn Highway, through Nov. 7.
The musical is based on Studs Terkel's "Working" books and the performance covers the lives of 26 workers. Times are 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 3 p.m. Sundays. Tickets cost $16 to $18. Call (813) 265-4000.

Pet-friendly event
Enjoy contests, prizes, demonstrations and a fun day in the park with your dog at the Stride for Strays walkathon from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Al Lopez Park, 4810 N. Himes Ave.
The 1-mile walk is open to any animal lover who wants to raise money to end pet overpopulation. Leashed, well-behaved dogs are welcome. Animal rescue groups will be on hand, along with pet-friendly vendors. Minimum donation is $15, with proceeds benefiting the ACT Spay/Neuter Clinic.

Reggae jerk jam
Get a taste of Caribbean life when Making Waves hosts the Reggae Jerk Jam.
From 2 to 9 p.m. at the Bayanihan Arts & Events Center, 14301 Nine Eagles Drive, attendees can enjoy food, arts and crafts, and entertainment. Third World and Paris and the Birds of Paradise will perform.
Tickets are $10. Children 12 and younger will be admitted for free. Proceeds benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and The Jamaica Children's Heart Fund.

It's fiesta time
Conga Caliente returns to Tampa at 11 a.m. Sunday in Al Lopez Park, 4810 N. Himes Ave.
The free event promotes Hispanic diversity and culture and features live entertainment, a youth area, food, a domino tournament, a cigar area and a day of family fun.

Forum and The Force
Star Wars in Concert plays the St. Pete Times Forum, 401 Channelside Drive, at 4 p.m.
The multimedia event features music from all six of John Williams' epic "Star Wars" scores. Narrated live by Anthony Daniels (the voice of C-3PO), the production features a full symphony orchestra and choir accompanied by specially edited footage from the films displayed on a huge screen.
Accompanying the concert is an exhibit of "Star Wars" costumes, props, production artwork and more.
